I am trying to install a 2nd HD in my pooter and I was able to get a "stock" 80 gig HD but it did not come with the "floppy disc" and all the info on it. does anyone have the needed drivers/software so I can finish this project?? thank you to all in advance : : Device Type: IDE Controller : Manufacturer: Western Digital : Model: wd800aw : Interface: IDE : Operating System: Windows XP Home : Age of Device: < 2 years old : FCCID: You don't need any drivers or software to make this drive work. Just jumper it as SLAVE, connect it to the same ribbon cable as your 1st drive and bootup the machine. Partition it using fdisk.exe and format it using format.com and your finished. Of course all hard drive makers offer disk management software that will do the same thing if you desire to go that route. Also make sure your secondary drive is enabled on primary ide port in pc bios setup first.
