"I tried it, but no help at all. The modem works with a manually selected win98se generic driver though. PP really fouled this one up."

"This driver displays as a 144 type and windows warns not the correct driver for 288HC modem. I tried it as a possible better one than windows automatcly installed. Set jumpers to E1 and E4 only and search for new hardware, Win 98 does the rest. Good Luck"
