"Installed into linux ubuntu 8.04 with ndiswrapper. The computers is a notebook gateway 1628. Works fine (just fine, not great).

No editing of the inf needed. Just add new hardware device and install from a specific location

The driver does not come with a generic installer"

"I was installing a belkin wireless adapter it kept asking for EAPPkt.sys downloading this file unzipped it and renamed RTL8187B.sys to EAPPkt.sys

and it completed the install. It is singing along happily with the network"
