"Device was a Tiny FU621D USB Scanner with NO buttons (ie. Scan, email etc). XP hardware detects as a native 'Colorado 19200 USB' device ie. It is badged product by Tiny. Tiny Computers went regrettably bust a few years ago to my recollection.

1. Unpacked files into a clean folder

2. I could not see a exe installation file, just inf file. No problem.

3. Plugged in

"You need to do a manual install for the driver by pointing to whereever you extract the files. Once you've done this restart the machine and the scanner should be fully functional."

"Could not install. Windows squawked the vis4400.cab file when trying to install from .inf - said "cat file does not contain correct hash code. File is either corrupt or has been tampered with.

Date of most files in self-extracting archive is 12/27/2001, but vis4400.inf is 5/10/2002, which is later than other files, and the vis4400.cat file is 10/25/2001. Looks l
