"Hi, it took me 6 months to figure this freak out but I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION.

For XP, you can download the micro.dll file from this website http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=82352

Once you give the intended file, it will ask for some weird file name .dll search that file name on your hard drive under windows/system32. It will work fine

"Perhaps the maker needs to put a file named TWAIN.DLL into the install program so that Windows XP will get the file installed into C:\Windows Folder otherwise installing over and over becomes a nuisance and is annoying from the standard installation CD or other sources that do not includ that TWAIN.DLL filespec."
