"Had the same problem like susan had.

Formated HP pc and lost the recovery partition and since then nihter my keyboard worked nor my sound card as it should I will download this driver hoping that it would work like it did for her.

"I tried many different downloads but this one was the complete package! Worked great. Other ones were just chip updates, this one is the full installation program. If you have intregrated sound on your mother board, on a IBM computer, then this will work!"

"Right On The Nose! I was upgrading an HP Pavilion 551w to Windows XP Professional and this driver was missing. The device manager called it the "Multimedia Audio Controller" (AC97 as per HP) and this was the answer. I saved it to a temp file, burned it to a CD and it loaded perfectly.
