The upgrade was performed to see if the board could utilize 128M SDRAM. The board was only able to utilize the first 32M of SDRAM. EDO in bank A + SDRAM did work, with SDRAM limited to 32M.
The upgrade went smoothly. I copied the files to a bootable diskette and ran from it.
After the upgrade, I had to manually set the COM pots for them to be reliably recognized as COM1 and COM2. The biggest problem was identifying the board. Fortunately I found a picture of it at the M Technologies site www.mtiusa.com
