"even in the readme file it states that it is for win98. it clearly wasn't intended for XP and was likely mislabled."

"tried to scan from iphoto plus, and photo shop 7.0, both tell me 'fail load' when i hit aquire. then to put twain.dll in windows folder, which it is in all ready! got a feeling it's close, ( but no cigar! ) wish some one would come up with a working solution!"
