"I tried using this driver with a Stratitec ICUSB25 enhanced USB 2.0 card. Windows identified it as an NEC card so I tried an NEC driver and it didn't work."

"Win 98SE, NEC 5 port card, Driver picked up all 4 external facing ports but not the fifth inward facing. Wasn't a problem. Then 2 days later, Windows saw the missing port and installed it. Other than that, Great."

"being the youngster i am i need everything 2 be working at its best to use my expanding aray of hardware ie external drives that usb2.0

and running large external storage device on usb 1.1 is no fun at all"

"The driver that came with an unbranded Nec 3 + 2 USB2 PCI card from Ebuyer didn't work. In Device Manager updating the Unknown Device/PCI USB driver with this one added USB2. Can't really say how stable because not used for long enough."

"Used this to enable a CompUSA (NEC) 4+1 USB2 card in a Lenovo machine that lost its other USB ports to a lightning strike. The system would see the other ports, and they had to be disabled before the card would work. Also, the card had to be in the #2 PCI slot, as #1 shares resources with the AGP slot. "None of the others worked on my XP system.

I have a USB2/Firewire PCI combo card.

The NEC Enhanced driver was the problem,

but this driver worked, the others got duplicate

device/service name errors on install.
