"I too received the missing file errors while running the install, yet the driver still fixed the problem I was having with Windows not being able to play any sound. Good for a temporary fix, but there may be something that works better in the long run. I have not tested it on anything other than playing sounds, so don't know if the input,et cetera, on my device will be wor

"The SP23887.exe did not work due to missing files (probably due to it being an upgrade) but nforce4.10.exe worked for sound on the HP ms6367 motherboard."

"when installed it could not find some files,

with winxp sp2 dontwork...but

then I tryed this one and work 100%

"my friend has a new hp pavilion for a few months he had a virus on the computer and had to fdisk and formated and on top of that he lost all the disk to the mother board so I have to install each driver .in all cases this driver worked great a the first try thank you and good luck to any of you"
