"MY Phillips CD-RW CDD4401/71 would not accept this. I am sure it is a good firmware update for SOME versions of this drive."

"The Philips CDD4801/71 (Compaq)has a lot problems with Windows XP Media Player 9.0 while playing audio-cd's. Being flashed with the firmware 2.5 it works not perfect, but better."

"this was to update my cd/rw. file was too large for my flopy disk so loaded in my documents but was unable to access when i tried to update driver."
