"My system ( a PCchips 585LMR) has an integrated HSP/PCTEL modem on the motherboard. Windows XP would not allow it to run."

"Hardware install wizard said modem not compatible, but I put it in anyway and it works excellent. XP recognized the modem twice, once as 56k flex PNP, and then as PNP D/F/V. Didn't work on 56k flex but did on the second one."

"Sorry if it was the wrong driver, a short while later I uploaded it again (http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=128147), because I thought the driver submit got denied.

I am certain the other one is the correct driver :) I used it countless times.
