"I easily found the .dll file to replace under Program Files and copied the new one there. However, I couldn't get the scanner to work. My computer wouldn't even acknowledge the scanner was there."

"This driver has no zip file to open or any effect when I tried to open it. Also, the driver update program would not recognise it. I think this is not a real driver file.

Does anyone know where to get a driver to fit the XP operating system?"

"Downloaded to the file where I had the scanner. Instalation asked if it should replace dll. I did and everything worked. This scanner uses the same port as my HP 712C printer, and both seem to work OK on this home built running XP Pro . At this point I've only used this with Picture Publisher that came bundled with scanner."
