"The BIOS rom image of my motherbroad (chaintech 7aja-100) was corrupted. I used the BIOS image of this website that can recover my computer from dead. However, as I prepared to reinstall WinXP or WinME, etc. It failed. (It prompted me some ACPI or APM and IRQ address not matching problems)

I really want to have a exact BIOS rom file for 7aja-100. Everybody pls help ! =(

"Worked great bringing back a 7AJA0/100 Phoenix BIOS chip with a checksum error, so wasn't even reaching POST. BIOS image from here had to be placed on floppy disk with awdflash.exe (got from another site arrived at via Google), but between them they reflashed the BIOS chip first time, no user interaction required (beyond putting the floppy disk in and turning on) and it br

"Thanx for the update, installation is easy and safe (especially with TwinBIOS).

I can't say the update fixed my problem, but the newer the BIOS...

PS:

Probably somebody knows how to allow windows to detect my cd-burning-device as a burning-device and not as a cd-rom.

would be nice to hear of you ;-)"

"Installs and works OK.

Installed it because of stability problems with WinXP (ACPI errors in event log, often causing system crash, particularly during CD recording).

Still get some ACPI errors, but it didn't crash during 2 simulation burns in a row (unheard of before), so it *seems* to improve stability, but it's really to early to tell for sure."
