"I had to reinstall my scanner after re-formatting my hard drive, but the installation disk kept saying...this program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run. I'm using Windows XP again, and after downloading and installing this driver, I was able to run my scanner with no problem! Thank you, it does work with Windows XP!"

"sorry i already sent a rating but i feel i must elaborate on what might appear to be a bad rating.

the driver did not work on my computer for some reason i don't know. whether it was because i'm using xp pro i'm not sure. But my computer froze and sent my desktop icons to large and off the screen. i had to reboot."

"I have Windows XP professional & Afga Snapscan 1212USB version. I was very discouraged after trying several versions of drivers, then a combination of using the hardware wizard on my computer and driver 1212U from www.support.afga.com worked a miracle. Also, this time I had accepted the Afganet install & the risk that the install might not be compatible with Window

"This works fine as long as you a running in Administrator mode... if you are running your system in a regular user mode the scanner software will not run."

"After downloading this file I used WinZip to look for a specific file I needed, however, it did not have the stimon.exe file I was looking for."

"does not work.

I have had troubles in the past when I have formatted my Hard drive. The problem is getting the driver for my "agfa scanwise, snapscan 1212u" for XP driveguide.com's driver just does not work....I need help."

"ABSOLUTELY USELESS driver and information page. Says at the top of this page that registry must be updated to have stimon.exe load. THE AVERAGE SCANNER OWNER has no idea how to do this. You techies that write this page don't seem to know either. TOTALLY unimpressed with the waste of time this site and agfa have caused."

"Was having problems getting the 1212u to work with Windows 2000 Professional. Did not work until I unzipped this driver to a directory and manually reinstalled it using the Win2K device manager. (Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager-Imaging Devices-1212u-Properties) Then reinstalling the driver from where I'd unzipped this file."

"we installed the driver and tried to execute the program but we later saw that we need to update the registry... we can search for the named file but what then??? can someone tell us where the line must be placed?"

"MY AGFA Snapscan 1212u will not work with Windows XP Professional no matter what driver I attempt to use. It keeps returning a communication error even thought I have changed the USB Cable 3 different times. In my opinion, this scanner is not usable with Windows XP Pro."

"uploader said: "you need to update the registry to have STIMON.exe (windows file) load at runtime" and I don't know how to do that, I ran regedit and found the item stimon.exe, but how do I change it?"
