"these are merely the .INF and .DLL files for the scanner.

no Installation files or setup programs provided.

Windows Device Manager also does not associate these files with any Hardware available to the OS. (i.e. Windows does not see these files as Scanner - or any other device drivers)"

"I had to copy the unzipped file to disk and then install it from a disk. The driver didn't work with my scanner and OS (WinXP) as it is not digitally signed by MS. My scanner (Nikon Coolscan 8000) just went nuts and wouldn't work properly. If there is something else that needs to be done please let me know otherwise I will continue to search for a driver that will work wi
