"Had the joystick for this software but couldn't find the cd. Also, I have an original Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel that wouldn't work with it's own drivers due to being incompatible with Win10 x64. So I tried this and it recognizes my Precision Racing Wheel and it works in games like RaceRoom. Am very happy!"

"This Sidewinder 4.0 software does indeed work with XP. However the

"record" feature (error message) did not. You need to get into "Data Execution Prevention" found in Control Panel (System) and de-register the joy.cpl applet. Once you do that, voila, the record feature now works! Just Google the record feature error message for info on how to fix it.

"Good driver and worked well for me. Don't rush the install as like most Microsoft hardware drivers not a lot of thought has gone into the production on behalf of the customer"

"Thanks for the driver but its the same one i had and tryed to load before this driver just will not work with windows vista any thing that you can help with would be nice Thanks, Rickey.

"The software/driver installed well.

The Profiles, Settings and Test tabs of the software worked.

The recorder tab didn't.

As XP supports the joystick there is nop point in using this software/driver as the profiles can't be edited."

"I successfully download the driver onto my system, but the problem is that it doesn't work on Vista systems. The software worked great on my XP, but once I upgraded to vista, the

installation process for the driver crashes. I have a Duo Core, 4 GB

ram, 500 GB harddrive, with a Nividia 8800 graphics card with 512 ram. It a

shame that microsofts own gamestick doe

"Holy Crap! I tried multiple drivers and each one failed. I even tried this one and it failed, at first. (Note, I was using Win 2K Pro).

The problem I was having was that the joystick was not being detected in the first place! I had it plugged into the USB port, but the OS didn't seem to notice.

Interestingly, after giving up all hope and several hours
