"Worked great for me. Very important: READ the INSTALL.txt file (in the 7600USBW2K zip file) before you do anything. Also, make sure you have the following files (listed) in either your system folder or system32 folder (on your hard drive under: c:\windows\......) FILE LIST: maxrast.dll, maxutil.dll, pperr.dll, maxkernl.dll There may be others but the final install of the

"Well, it works with Win XP, although rather poorly. This scanner works much better with Windows 98 or ME. If you want to try it with XP run 7600U2K.exe then download the files maxcodec.dll, maxrast.dll, maxutil.dll and pperr.dll and insert them along with maxkernl.dll from this file into c:\windows\system32 folder. Would have been better to have all needed files include

"Works with Win 98 and probably any other operating system if you (RUN SETUP 7600U2K) then download the .dll files from the visioneer 5800 and insert the maxkernl.dll from this file along with (maxcodec.dll, maxrast.dll, maxutil.dll, pperr.dll) from the 5800 .dll files. (It's a zip file) into c:\windows and/or c:\windows\system 32."

"Instructions don't work, had to figure out to use Add/Remove Hardware, took some doing. Graphics software must be convinced to see scanner/driver. Responsible for occasional crashes."

"Had to get some more data to make it work. I used "7600_USB_Xp.zip" found here, AND "Visioneer_OneTouch_7600_usb_sc anner.zip" found on the same driver page. Scanner will work just fine, giving me an image, but it gives me an error after the scan that it can't find Paperport, so the image won't store. I have Paperport v6.5 which won't work with XP, so
