"There is nothing wrong with the drive itself.

The device name(in devide manager) has become corrupted probably by a virus and now i cannot regress the driver to a version that works!

This particular cdralw2k.sys file was not detected by the hardware wizard so it would not install.

"driver works great, but all the drivers I have got from this site work great.... I have a sony vaio laptop, with a dvd/cd-rewritable...does anyone know what software it uses to burn cd's..( nero,roxio,easy cd creator, ect..)

If anyone knows please let me know...
