"This is firmware, and a driver per se--if you don't have the driver, this download won't help any, at least it didn't help with Win XP"

"Instructions for the installation are not so clear for beginners. They can be improved just by giving us a step by step guidance of what we have to do.

We download, then we unzip the file, then we save it, but where to save it?

There are various alternatives. Once you select the place to save the downloaded driver, how to we know it will replace the old one in the C

"This is only a bios revision update for the CD-RW. Installing incorrectly will damage the drive. So will power surges and brownouts. This CD Drive is one of the best I've ever run across."
