"I tried the drivers for the Compac 1247 for having sound again and the video adapter from Trident. Everthing works like a dream. Hey how do I get my volume button to work again at the front of the computer? With the button support download files? Or is this for the Internet related buttons only. You really rock by the way."

"Bottom line, driver guide blows away any factory support page. Compaq's recovery disks suck, plus hog to much of the cheezy 4gig hd. I LOVE THIS SITE."

"I didn't work with w2k!!! everything is ok... but I still getting no sound on my laptop (1247) could you help me out with this? I need driver for windows 2000... I found video, modem.. i just don't have sound! thank you"
