Additional Notes

The driver provided by 3com (as well as 100% of the other websites in the world that have drivers for this unit) is version 2.29.0.1 and does NOT work with Windows XP. This driver is the driver that came with Windows XP, c \windows\inf\netbcm4u.inf ( with the included PNF file), which is version 2.29.0.8, BUT I have modified it to include information for the 3com 3C420 (as well as modifying the PNF file in a hex editor). I jsut copied these files into my c \windows\inf\ folder and windows was able to automatically pick it up when I plugged the unit into my system. I have only tried this on Windows XP Pro chances are, though, that it will work on Windows XP Home. I got no bluescreens in XP, like the 2.29.0.1's will give you, and i was able to use the internet. Good luck.
