"Downloaded USB 2.0 driver for a VIA chipset with extended USB 2.0 capabilities. Was able to install, but kept having problem with Driver. Uninstalled driver and the computer worked fine."

"Install seemed to work smoothly and so far so good on the function. Don't try the Windows wizzard for installing. Just unzip folder and use the setup.exe for installation."

"i've a ECS P6VXAT with PhoenixBios v1.1 (01/14/2002). XPSP2 installed. There's no difference between this and Windows's certified built-in driver. Both of them are freezing the entire system for a moment while copying a file from U3 flash memory device. Windows detects the USB device that i connect before (and still connected) again and again.

"I needed 2.0 drivers, as the XP ones weren't sufficient....but apperantly this didn't work, I had to go to the official manufacturer to get them...so it didn't work for this specific task"

"I have upgraded from Win Me to XP on my Sony PCG-FX215 laptop

This is the only device that refused to work

I am still fiddling with drivers, but I suspect the motherboard to be the culprit rather than the driver"
