"Ok, addendum to previous comment: trying to use the video streaming (which appears to be a standard DirectShow stream) bluescreened Windows XP, right down to doing a memory dump. Yum."

"This is a generic "My Camera" driver described in the release notes as allowing access to "image and sound files within Clarity-based cameras connected to Windows PCs via USB or RS-232". It's evil, proprietary foo which will install whereever it pleases and give you a "My Camera" icon under "My Computer", but it let me get the photos

off an old ROLAR RDC640M. This driver is "as advertised"; it's the camera and it's inability to just act like a blasted generic USB mass storage device that deserve panning.

Apparently it has video streaming support too, but this has not been tested. The driver is unsigned and will cause Windows XP to complain like a petulant child."
