"Driver was good. The DVD writer on Presario Compaq 3015US was bad. Two-year life span may be the reason. Thank you"

"I wanted to use the CDWE24E CD-R on a continental trip on an XPpro laptop. However, after a quick and responsive install the CD played a music CD with no problems, but then when I rebooted the machine next morning tne damned thing blue screened on me and the cause was the CDWE24E driver, which XP said it didn't like! I hav now removed it from my system and let XP choose it
