"This flash program wouldn't run on my XP Home PC. After scanning for viruses (didn't find any), I ran it and after choosing the correct DVD drive (GDR8162B), I clicked the "FW Flashup" button and it responded with "This program can't be used for the selected device".

So, anyone know where else one can get an updated firmware driver for this Hitachi

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
