"NOBODY gives instructions - I figured it out: FIRST you must download vipersti.dll and pmxscan.dll once downloaded they have .efw at the end use WINZIP or WINrar to extract and save them under C:\WINDOWS\System32\ then download this file and extract anywhere where you can find it C:\ is find because is a folder. "Missing some crucial Dlls, but that can be fixed on this very same site. Also, make sure to rename Maxkernl.dll to MAXKERNL.dll, and to transfer all dlls to your windows->system file. Too many flaws to get a good recommend, but definately the shellwork that you need to run your scanner."

"Adding the missing DLLs to the ZIP would be a nice touch. Granted, the 7600u wasn't designed with XP in mind, and Visioneer dropped support for it by the time XP hit the market. It just took almost as long to get the scanner to work as it did for me to to a clean install of Win2K. Perhaps one of us should repackage the drivers with the missing files..."

"I found the driver I needed, it required me to register which I did, then when I tried to download "Visioneer_OneTouch_7600_usb_scanner.zip", it kept asking me to validate again. I revalidated and it tells me that I have already validated. But it will never let me download. I have wasted enough time already.
