"This driver is not a Windows driver for the cd-rom... it's a driver to upgrade the ide chipset drivers. The ide chipset is what the drive connects to. This file is only intended to be used on the early version of Windows 95 (95A). If you are using Windows 95b or higher, this driver is not necessary as those higher Windows versions already have the improved chipset drive

rs included with the os. This file will fix the problem of non-detection. If the os does not detect your drive as it should. then this file may help but is only for users of Windows 95A."
