"I went through a couple of modems with it, and one installed and the other didn't. Oddly, the one that installed installed as a Motorola modem with this INTEL software even through the box stats said it was an Intel. I may have mixed up the boxes. I can't really say now what was the real result. There was no adverse effect: of that I'm sure."

How to Update Intel(R) 537EP Data Fax Modem Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
