Additional Notes

DD-WRT project for the new Broadcom Wireless-N DUAL BAND Mini-PCI Notebook card.

The driver which I modified was the bcmwl6.inf which supports switching between:

United States: CHANNELS 1-11

Japan: CHANNELS 1-14

Germany: CHANNELS 1-13

This driver will install but I recommend manual installation because in modifying source code, the "bmwl6.inf" lost its' digital signature. This is a feature in Windows 7 that requires a short explanation. There is a digital weight which goes down to the kb. This is multiplied by a secret algorith

"Easiest install that I have had and this card was a real sucking black hole to locate a driver for. So grateful. The instructions call for a manual install and I did not read them first and failed. Digital signature is blown because the uploader heavily modified it to switch regions. The installer didn't work for me and when I browsed for bcmwl6.inf I got a message tha

"Awesome! Many thanks!! Our company is now manually installing this driver on our fleet of notebooks.

Go to your device manager and point to the driver folder (bcmwl6.inf). When the warning appears that the driver is not digitally signed, install it anyway. 100% compatible in Windows 7 x64."

"I bought a cheap card on ebay and found out the hard way that these cards are also a Mac Air Card, an HP, and a Dell. The drivers that I downloaded didn't get recognized and I forced one against the warning that it was not for my hardware. This driver was recognized as a Broadcom Wireless N, like it was some sort of generic driver. Needless to say that it went on perfec

"This driver must me manually installed because it was modified and Windows did not just pull it in. Open the device manager and right-click on the wlan (unknown) device and update it. You will browse for the location of the uppacked driver. Mine went in like a charm in Windows 8 x64.

Awesome work on this driver for my card. It was one of the few Wireless-N cards
