"Due to electrical storm had to reformat my HP Pavilion 513W. Although this driver is referenced on the HP home page as AC97 Audio, the driver itself is not offered there. I downloaded this driver from Driver Guide and it works perfectly."

"Crashed my hard drive, the recovery disk didn't have the audio driver on it. So here I am....download was quick, and it is working fine."

"installed on a compaq s4100nx and it made sound available, but was only about half as loud as it should be. otherwise, it installed well, removed the question mark in device manager, and was stable."

"Fixed HL2 (Half Life 2) sound problem I had. I got no sound in rear speakers using 6 channel 5.1 with the latest drivers from Realtek. Uninstalling those, and installing these fixed it!"

"this sorted out my loss of audio problems following a massive crash which corrupted the hard drive. Guess Mesh Computers couldn't be bothered to put it on their restore disk! My motherboard is ASUS K8V-MX with onboard soundcard."
