"You don't need this if you are using SP2. My USB ports would no longer work after an upgrade from ME to XP. You fix this with a BIOS flash - you do not need this patch."

"downloaded this driver to resolve bios conflict on packard bell m/board upgraded to xp. didn't work. usb still not operational."
