"When you try to open the downloaded files, you get a SSFW ERROR. You can see the NEC splash screen in the background. The error window shows Windows Version is 5005F03. When you click on OK, you get an NEC Superscript Setup error, and the window shows "Not recognized Windows environment". When you click on OK, everything closes."

"I tried to use this driver for a NEC 660 printer, only hoping it would work. It seemed to install OK, but I could get nothing out of the printer. I still haven't been able to print with this printer from a new Dell Dimension 3000 computer. I haven't been able to load Windows 98SE into it yet either, which I'm sure this printer will work with."

"I was unable to unzip this file. Two attempted downloads gave the same response. I need a driver for an NEC Silentwriter Superscript 610 operating on a Win 2000 platform. Can anyone help. Thank you in advance"

"I have downloaded the driver but how do you install it? I click on necsetup.exe and a logo screen flashes for about 1 sec and disappears.Any ideas"
