Additional Notes
This drivers are from Compaq recovery CDs. It is tested with Compaq Presario Laptop 1200XL118 under Win 2K. It also includes drivers Win 95 & 98. I had very hard time to find this driver after upgrading my nodebook to Win 2K. Actually, after upgrading Win 2K, the sound didn't work, but this driver solved it. Installing is very simple, just double-click setup.exe.

In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager
In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button
How to Install a driver from Device Manager
Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
Select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
