"When I tried to install this driver I got a message saying that the MSCDEX.exe

file was missing from my system so it didn't work for me. To be fair, I'd deleted cdralw2k.sys and cdr4_2K.sys from my computer and from my registry so that could've screwed up the installation of this driver. Therefore, I can't recommend this driver, but it may be a perfectly good driver for

"Well basically I looked for a driver to get my DVD device to recognize my DVDs. This driver failed to do that. My DVD drive works well, and so does my computer. I believe it is a driver issue."
