"I had problems trying to install this on Windows 2000 Pro. Not sure if I did anything wrong. I managed to install another driver which was great. Manually pick all the files from the folder when installing and don't use the Windows drivers when doing this."

Under XP its recognized and placed in the scanner config panel.

But is't placed in the "My Computer" window. And no program

can see the scanner."

"Works great for Win98 Win2K....

Doesn't work WinXP Pro SP1/SP2...

"I've had huge hassles trying to download this driver for days on end. It downloads from some server's port 8000 for some reason, and is mostly not available.. :-(

If I get it right, I'll upload a new copy to see if it works better then (for others, that is!)"

"Jouw driver werkt perfect onder XP Home. Op desktop en op laptop. Waarom biedt Mustek mij dit niet aan als ik om een driver vraag en krijg ik in plaats daarvan een cru antwoord van hen? Ga zo door. Mensen zoals u maken het Internet zinvol."

"Ich verzweifelte als ich hörte es gibt keine Treiber für meinen 600 USB. Aber siehe da es gab ihn doch!!DANKE!!!! Er funktioniert einwandfrei unter Windows XP. Auch die Installation war kein Problem mehr nach dem durchlesen der einzelnen Beiträge oben. 1. Systemsteuerung 2. Hinzufügen Hardware 3. Wähle die"? unknown USB Device" 4. wenn nach dem Treiber auf der Disk gesucht

"Worked perfectly, unzipped it into a folder. Went to device manager and installed drivers for an imaging device. Into Photoshop and no problems scanning. I think everybody else has said it - don't buy Mustek. They're the cheaper option - now you know why. They don't give a toss and give jack all support. Cheers whoever spent the time to make the driver. Much appreci

"Yes Sir, this driver even works on my WinME. Take my advice don't invest in Mustek it's too much of a hassle sice they are only concerned with their new products and folks like us who own older products aren't worth their time."

"The driver did not work if you just unplug/replug the usb device and use the install popup. The Control_panel->Add/remove_hardware->?_USB_Device procedure is the only way I got it working. Since this seems to be a non-Mustek made driver (probably by combining mustek .dll s) there might exist Win2k setups with conflicts. Thanks, this driver worked for me. PS. Stop buying M

"I too, could not get this driver to work and got a blank list when trying to add it manually or automatically. I forwarded this driver onto Mustek and they reported back that it will not work and that it is basically the Windows 98 driver. Mustek also stated that they will not be writing any drivers for this model scanner for Windows 2000 and recomendded if I was going to

"Hi, it worked great for me, but not anymore...I get a powermanagement error and after that message the scanner is not visible anymore in my device manager...I have these problems since I upgraded to SP4 for win2kpro. Who can help me"

"Funny how many people I see who got a nasty answer on a reply on there mail, just like me, I even mailed to U.S.A. but no reply at all. Very arrogant folks at Mustek, anyway, I got my driver, thanks to great people like you, while I was about to buy a new one."
