"Driver works but it seems like it doesn't support WPA encryption.

Use "wlpc05" instead which can alse be found here on driverguide."

"i downloaded it; let it "install" and unpacked it to new dir program files/am1772.

restarted the laptop and... the version mentioned stays the old number.

how do i continue or alter in such a way it works/ really installs the right way?

"Installed on XP for "TecNew wireless Lan cardbus adapter" and "Origo Wireless Lan PCI card". Works great. Better than the updated driver that Windows update will try to install."
