"Not sure what happened, the Sony website used to have the driver. Got it when I initially migrated from xp to win2k. Now they dont seem to have it available for download. However thanks to Driverguide we are working again. Load was so simple H honestly dont recall it. Just go to reinstall driver from device manager and point it to where you extracted the files."

"The unpacking of this driver was unusual because it showed something I couldn't make out afterwards. All I can see was the red X but I was able to get rid of it and I was able to install the driver that made the NIC work and was able to connect to the internet."

"This works great on a Dell Dimension 3000 with onboard LAN. Chipset is the Intel 82865G/PE/P (north bridge) and 82801EB/ER (south bridge) as identified by SIW. Actual chip on the board says 82801EB. Drivers don't seem to be available from Dell, only the NIC diagnostic software."
