"I've installed/uninstalled and all I get is the command program running. I can align the printer but when I go to print from a program I get what appears to be data being sent to the printer but not thing happens not even a burp from the printer. I'm wondering if Matt (207.19.142.37) or anyone else with the answer could elaborate on his registry doctoring either here or by

"All indications are that the driver installed correctly, but it won't print. The obnoxious voice says "printing started" and "printing complete", but it doesn't print. Anybody have ideas? Thanks."

"I downloaded w2kz11e.exe. When I try to run the file I get an error message not a 32-bit prog. Nothing further happens, can't get to the drives to load. Any thoughts? Thanks."

"Folks, if your PC will not recognize the printer as plug-and-play, you have to delete the Lexmark subkey of the LPTENUM registry key. E-mail me if you're having this problem, I can help you through it. I notice that "Nidia 207.172.11.233 this did not work, at least not for me. i cant get pass step one. my computer cannot locate a plug and play printer Thu Jan 24 15 53

"Thanks, this works great with Win2K. I cleaned my harddrive of windows ME since it was giving me problems. I Installed Win2K server over it but didnt have the Compaq IJ300 printer drivers. I looked for the drivers at the Compaq website but was unable to get a functional one. I chanced upon this website and installed this driver and it works wonderfully."

"Sandi, thank you!!! We have a Compaq ij300 printer (aka Lexmark 4100). Installed Windows XP and had no drivers to support this printer. These drivers worked like a charm, now I don't have to chunk the darn thing in the trash!!! Soooooooooo............ if anyone needs XP drivers this is the one!!!!"

"I've been looking for this driver for a while now. I knew it had to be a Lexmark printer because when I tried to install it on my Win2K PC, it identified it as a Lexmark 4100. This driver worked great and saved me a lot of time and money."

"Obviously, almost no one "reads" anymore. The description states "quite" clearly that the the driver is for Win2K, not 98SE or 95. This just saved my niece at least $10 and god only knows how much lost time."

"No. This is not the ij300 printer driver for the Compaq with Windows 95. When you unzip it,it says it is for Lexmark and a test printout never happens."
