"I have a good solution on my HP 5100C.

You have to install all of them in safe mode and you must reboot the PC each time you install each one, (first sj263xx.exe, next sj269xx.exe and sj660mu.exe; note: xx = lenguage, english = en, spanish = sp, [I installed in Spanish, I downloaded them of hp.com ]).

"Worked like a charm. My HP scanner never seemed to work properly with an Epson Printer. Once these drivers were loaded all went really well. Seemed to make the scanner software easier to do too, specially in regard to scanning multiple pages."

"Txt file directions were in a language foreign to me, not US English. Attempted to follow sequence of file installations with reboot into Safe mode between step 1 and 2, but step 4 would not install."
