"XP asked for this file however this one did not fix the issue whch was a flagged Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller in device manager.Performed clean install with XP w/NO service Packs from Disc. However after install of SP2 the issue was resolved.This was done on a Compaq dc5000 Microtower Small Form Factor PC w/Intel Chip set. I will stall at giving this driver a bad

"I guarantee that it works with all Intel chipsets. Also "usbehci.sys" file problem is fixed ! Have enjoy!"

"I have a "USB device not recognized" problem. (Win XP SP2, new PCI USB 2 card). Someone suggested I update my USB 2 drivers.

It was a very long, tedious process downloading this driver.

Now only after doing it I discover that the driver is only for XP with no SPs installed. Very disappointing and annoying that it didn't say so in the description."

"Wanted to try a couple USB devices before I activated XP. This driver did the trick. Circumvented MicroSuck's idiotic policy of having to activate XP then download SP1 to get USB drivers."
