"Something is missing. When I try to format a cd I get a message that the driver is missing. I can use the device to read cd's but it won't burn them, at least not with adaptec direct cd.

Is there an additional driver for the cdrom controller that is required?

"Don't bother, I just called customer support and they said WinXP didn't need the driver. They didn't have one for this model. The customer service rep treated me like I was stupid. I guess my only option is to use Nero burning software that came with the cd when I purchased it. I hate the fact that I can't use Windows Media Player 10, to do it. I'll try Microsoft technica

"Installed on an older Packard Bell machine that was having some conflict problems with the CD-ROM driver. This driver worked but the H.P. upgrade had been installed previously."

"The LG CD-RW GCE-8320B is not recognized by Win98SE as a writer, just as reader. Still in search of a working driver/software Adatec/Roxio or Nero).

Any help much wellcome."

"This driver says it is for all versions of Windows. However, the included readme file talks about Windows 95 and the files that are in the zipped file range from 1990-1997 with a self-extracting executable dated 2001. Since I'm trying to get XP to recognize the CD burner with its built-in tools, this isn't mch help to me."

"The only reason I downloaded this file because this stupid IMesh program destroyed my CD Drive, and It dissipeared from the "My Computer" folder. Every time I use one of its programs, it always accesses my floppy drive instead. Please driver guide, help me on this!!!!"
