"This is a .ZIP file that contains drivers for several OLD LG CD devices. It is mostly for Windows 9X machines and especially for LG CD's that came out in the 1990's. We didn't bother trying it on our CD-RW LG 8320 drive. About 10 drivers are in this .ZIP file and they have an average date of 1995."

"This was a perfect find. I am running an Hitachi/LG cdrom Model GCR-8483B on a Dell Dimension 3000 and you can't find the driver on Hitachi's, Dell's nor LG's site, atleast by my search terms (so bite me but don't sue me :D ). I only hope the person who put these drivers up would have named the devices they support. That would have helped alot of folks in the past(I know i

"As ward i'm missing a driver for GDR 8161b, what happened to me was that i installed this dvd rom as secondary slave, the boot recognizes it, but the very moment the windows desktop appears the pc stops for 10 minuters, works for 5 seconds, restops for 10 minutes and so forth. I even upgraded my BIOS firmware but the problem remains. Any hints? Do i need to find a driver a
