"May work for other devices, but for me it didn'

t work for when trying to install for the device Crystal WDM AC'97 Driver for ICH4. Either teh driver installed but wouldn't work or would "blue-screen" on install."

"Caused an flash of a Blue screen of Death with some unknown information.

As it just flashed on the screen it was unreadable. I had to disable this driver to stop the system from crashing."

"Using this driver revived the sound on my K7T266 Motherboard that I had upgraded to XP. The Driver loaded easily, is stable and cured a very difficult problem without resorting to a seperate sound card."

"This driver seems to have solved the problem that I had - which was that I had sound drop-out with some games when using the on-board sound - ASUSP4P800E-D M/B and XP.

Note this is version 66 whereas the one supplied was only version 54.
