"This BIOS installs by itself when booted to the floppy (you don't even interact with the screen, just watch it update). The eMachines' splash screen is replaced by the motherboard manufacturer's Korean TriGem splash screen.

Thanks!"

"The install was easy. The original bios couldn't detect my cdrom so I was hoping the updated bios would help. But it didn't. As irritating as the emachine splash was, the new one is worse. I now have the firmware for the cdrom and will install it later. After using the win98 boot diskettes rusty and dos commands has made me appreciate my cdrom and win XP."

"The flash utility and bios update are placed in a folder (floppy)with a long name, must cut files and move the to main root (floppy), re-start system and then bios is updated automatically.

One to many steps for something that should not be so difficult."

"Install on eMachines eTower 500idx (Trigem Como3 motherboard)

Fixed problem of not being able to access full 120 gb of harddrive space.

Needed to use Win98 bootdisk instead of Dos622 bootdisk in order for install to work.

One minor problem under Win2K which isn't affecting anything I am doing. It is cannot find driver for PCI Simple Communications Controller.&q

"I was updating an emachines etower 366I2.

1) The machine would not boot from the diskette that this file generates.

I used the 98SE starup diskette to boot, then ran the autoexec file on this diskete, which launched amifauto, and went from there successfully to update to version 1.80.

2) On booting the machine, an Asian splash screen appears instead of the ema
