"Ha! Stay away from this one. It is NOT for all OLD Monitors. You will be reduced to a scrambled picture on your monitor, thus creating more work. I say trash the monitor (I am) as it is Not worth your time or frustration!"

"This driver page should be expunged in totality...it is completely useless and very deceptive...I have an older AST Svga 14LR..the driver here is only for AST Vision 5E,5U,7P and 7U..as stated in the INFREAD.ME????sic sic that should have been named(INFREADME.TXT). If you download the mon_up1.exe file pls rename INFREAD.ME to INFREADME.TXT before Installing it.."

"I am also looking for driver for SVGA-LR F562D. A work around which has worked for me with Win 98SE is to setup the computer using another monitor (in my case a DELL D1025HE)then connect up the AST monitor. During bootup the screen is just a mass of lines but once Windows starts the screen clears displaying the resolution (16 bit at 800x600) that I was using with the DELL

"The monitor for which I am trying to find drivers for is SVGA-LR F562D The drivers listed for AST's prior to 1999 did not work. I has shown more than 16 colors in its history. Any suggestions."
