"I had to attempt 4x to get this driver to work. Alaris never has gotten the knak down for having a totally error free webcam device. I finally saw the writing on the wall and switched over to logitech who has a great camera with many enhanced features. My comment to anyone attempting to use this driver is "Good Luck," you'll need it."

"This driver is ok the device still didn't show up under scanners and cameras but did show up in the device manager under sound video and game controllers

it worked ok but the camera is really not a good camera so I recomend spending the $20 or $30 dollars and getting a new camera"

"after weeks of searching

my conclusion is that THERE IS NO, i repeat NO XP driver for the allaris camera. at least for the usb one. i tried about 20 different version and each one crashed my XP."

"Hi all, I tried to use the drivers posted here, and maybe they do work, but I stiil couldn't run the camera without the software that came with the disk. I finally found the original disk that came from earthlink and it works fine with XP, 2000,98,95,ME and probably 3.1. I've put the drivers and software in a RAR file you can download and install. "This driver works perfectly! I was concerned this driver wouldn't work with Windows 2000, but once I canceled the automatic detection of my cam by "add hardware" things went smoothly. Didn't really like the extraction into the 'Temp' folder, but once I changed it to my own folder, things worked great. Functions perfectly with Yahoo Messenger, if anyone wonders if this w

"Help! I just purchased this camera...alaris weecam from ebay. I have the software for mac and pc but I have a mac. If any one out there can tell me why it doesn't run on OS 9.0 when it says it will run on 8.6 and above. The only conflict i know of on the net is osx. "I have the original drivers on CD and will be happy to upload them to my site and send anyone who wants to give them a try the link to it if they email me. I just installed the camera with drivers from the CD on my XP system and camera works fine, so I know these drivers at least work. They're pre-2001 drivers, I believe from late 1999 or early 2000. "This works. I've got a laptop with Windows ME installed and I unzipped it no problem. Thanks for that! It is important to change the port setting in BIOS though- very necessary. Just do the CTRL ALT F1 thang as your computer is powering up, change the setting, and you're good to go. The camera itself kind of sucks, although there's not much light right now. Anyways,

"This driver did not work as it is for a parallel port Webcam, where i have a USB connection to my WeeCam! I need to find a driver for the alaris weecam, model No.BHE-9CB, part No.FGB-VDOO-003400. If anyone can help find this driver & let me know, i will be very appreciated."

"File downloaded fine for me. You don't have to unzip it into the temp directory. Just create a folder on your desktop and unzip it there. You will have 3 more zipped files. Unzip all of them to the same location and you will see the "setup.exe"."

"Still doesn't work with WinXP SP-1. I e-mailed Alaris as soon as SP-1 came out and informed them of this problem. Like everyone else I got no response. Obviously they could care less. I encourage everyone else here running XP to do what I did... throw the Wee-Cam in the garbage and purchase a camera from a company that actually supports their products."

"hi people. i have this new driver and its an ok driver, but if u installed the windows xp service pack then u have 2 choices. one , u can uninstall the windows service pack, or u can 2, not use the cam at all. they havent updated the weecam for the new update for windows xp yet. if u dont have the service pack installed, then the cam should work fine."
