i am using Win 2000 Server and unknown modem which use KS56-PCI R6793-11 "ROCKWELL 98" chipset.

as my modem has connection holes for mic and earphone, I have choose these options when installing the driver. and now it work stably and correctly. good luck to you. :-)"

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
