"i have downloaded this software in the past then connected the CanoScann 600 up only to find that under windows ME this does not work. Can you know why this is?"

"Didn't do anything under Windows XP. Extracted to a folder then went to Control Panel to Scanners and Cameras but when I clicked Have Disk, and browsed out to the .inf file, no devices appeared."
