"Using the alphanumeric on a chip on the PCI card seemed a desperate method to find a driver for this LAN card. However, when this driver came up, some "strings" in the description matched "strings" (on stickers) on the card, so I thought I had the right driver.

ced it with the "Have disk" option, the driver wouldn't install.

In summary, the driver is probably fine - it's just not the right driver for my network card!"
